Name: Kayla Mouser | Alias: Kayla Kayla

Position at CY: Receptionist

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Remaining blissful even in a hell storm.

What is your greatest fear?

I don’t know yet. I’m thinking if I ever have a child, it would have something to do with worrying about them. That statistic about eating spiders in your sleep is pretty terrifying though. Eating spiders. My future child eating spiders.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Any type of insecurity. Insecurities seem to be pretty ridiculous and even worse, useless.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

Ill-intention. (Which most of the time stem from insecurities. Ha.)

When and where were you happiest?

8 years old, Thursday night dance class.

When did you start practicing yoga?

About two years ago. I began intentionally practicing yoga when I started at Citizen this past fall.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Being cool with myself.

If you died and came back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?

Crossing my fingers, a spoiled rotten puppy.

What is your most treasured possession?

My music collection.

Who are your heroes in real life?

My mom, always.

What is your motto?

Good question.

What is your current state of mind?

A little less cluttered than yesterday.

What is the quality you like most in a person?

Humor and humility.

What do you most value in your friends?

Those moments that make me laugh to tears & those moments that turn tears to laughter.

Who are your favorite writers?

I enjoy the odd ones: Vonnegut, Palahniuk, Hunter S.Thompson.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

“Wait, what?”

What is your favorite yoga position?

Handstand, but it can change by the day/by the practice.

What was your happiest yoga moment?

Finding Citizen.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

Cuddle up with my dogs.
